"My sad visit to Sheffield."

A review of St Hilda C Of E Church by John Woolley written on Sunday 27th of March 2016

I was born just round the corner from St Hilda,s.Went thereto Sunday school. When I was old enough,I became a member of the choir.I was christened and confirmed there as was my brother.I left Sheffield to join the RAF when I was 18.Now I still visit relatives but not as often as I would like.So imagine the shock when driving down Windmill Lane, being greeted with what looked like a post-war bomb site where once stood St.Hilda,s church.I have many happy memories of my time there. So sad to see it now..
