"Tears for Bertie"

A review of PDSA Pet Aid Hospital by D Angell written on Tuesday 24th of October 2017

It is 6 months to the day we lost our beloved cat Bertie of 14 yrs. I took Bertie to the PDSA late Monday evening. He seemed bright, with no loss of appetite but he suddenly had a recital prolapse. It was a very busy night at the vets. There was only one vet in attendance. She was very young and looked stressed and panicky with the amount of people ringing up for urgent appointments. She examined Bertie and said he had a mass on his abdomen and the rectal prolapse was too severe to repair! I had to have him p ur to sleep. I was devastated. Bearing in mind 2 weeks earlier Bertie had been to the same place, stayed in overnight, given an enema and put on a diet. Tests given saying there was nothing sinister going on he is healthy for his age! I wish I had taken him to another vets I may still have my Bertie x.
