"Very expensive"

A pleasant gentleman who I rung and I had asked for an idea of the cost on the phone and he stated he wouldn't be able to advise me until he saw what the job entailed which was fair enough but it would be £40 call out fee. On arrival he proceeded to clean my oven which I hadn't asked for and it was cleaned professionally a month ago anyway. As he hadn't offered a total price before starting the cleaning of my oven ! Half way through cleaning I asked how much it would be for the heating element and bulb to be sorted and he quoted £80 on top of the call out fee. This job took him 50 mins of which 10 mins was to change the parts. I asked what warranted that price and it was quite a superficial answer but the cleaning was free. I don't like to barter as its awful and awkward. I would hate this to happen to someone who has no idea of the price .I see from a previous review this has happened to them as well!.
